Prickly Ash
Prickly Ash improves circulation, lymphatic function, decreasing nerve pain and increasing absorption of other herbs. Prickly Ash is used for many chronic issues. Due to its ability to reduce inflammation and stimulate circulation, it has been included in liniments. The flowers and leaves have a mild lemon scent. It is also called the “toothache tree” since the bark relieved tooth pain.
Prickly Ash has long been used to decrease nerve pain. Prickly ash strengthens qi and can improve doctrine function if used long term. It is used to improve skin wellness because of its ability to stimulate circulation.
Avoid using if your horse has stomach ulcers because it stimulates stomach acid or check with your herbal clinician.
Prickly Ash is best used in small quantities. A little goes a long way.
1/2-1 tsp of ground dried bark up to 3x daily
Always start with the smallest dose.
