Don't Pick That!
“Rainrot” scabs can form along the back or on the lower legs.
When scab bumps seem to multiply, do not panic. Get MTG!
Shake! Shake! Shake the MTG bottle to get the “magical stuff” that settles to the bottom of the bottle.
Apply MTG gently to scabbed areas to prevent further scabs from forming and promote the natural shedding of current scabs in a timely manner.
Scabs are helpful even though their appearance may be deemed unsightly. It’s tempting to pick scabs, however, scarring from picking the scabs is worse.
A brilliant natural band-aid, the scab protects a wound until the epidermis is completely closed.
Remember: Picking scabs could cause bleeding. Blood attracts flies and flies can turn a superficial wound into a summer sore.
Therefore it’s to the benefit of both you and your horse to allow scabs to fall off naturally.
